Your Story Can Make a Difference!
Stories are powerful. They help people understand complex policy issues, move the emotions, and create the will to act. Often a story is much more effective than an argument in persuading policy-makers and other opinion leaders.
Have you struggled to get the health care you need? Has a member of your family?
Send us that story. With your permission we will post it along with others on this website.
Or, if you prefer, we will not post it on this site but will use it in our efforts to advocate for health reform.

Here are a few examples of the kinds of stories we are collecting right now:
- Medical bills have forced you into bankruptcy or foreclosure;
- You have no health insurance because of a pre-existing condition, or you have health insurance that doesn’t cover the treatment you need most;
- Your health insurance requires you to pay high up-front costs that you can not afford.
- Insurance premiums so high that you can no longer afford coverage;
- Because of no insurance, you are unable to get needed medical care;
- Your illness or injury became much more serious than necessary because you lacked access to medical care.
